Somatic Movement, Yoga & Meditation

In this series of online classes, we explore a variety of embodiment practices focused on nourishing and supporting the seven chakras. During our practice and study, you’ll learn how each chakra relates to physical anatomy, emotional and psychological qualities, and more subtle energetics.

During each class, we support the function of these vital centers through therapeutic somatic movements, yoga postures (restorative, dynamic and yin yoga), meditation, sound, imagery, marma and acupressure, and breath work.

This immersion is open to all levels.

This Series Includes:

Class 1 - Yoga of the Chakras

Our opening class provides an introduction to our subtle energetic centers and how they relate to our physical anatomy and psychology.

Class 2 - Root Chakra

In this immersion, we explore the importance of support. We study the base of the spine and pelvic floor as they relate to the subtle body, using sound and imagery in our movement practice.

Class 3 - Sacral Chakra

In this section of our course, we investigate the anatomy of the hips, sacrum and inner legs. We use movement, acupressure, marma points and poetry to access the watery realm of deep vitality.

Class 4 - Solar Plexus Chakra

In this class, we work with the transformative power of the abdominal chakra. We explore digestion and metabolism through dynamic movement and breathwork.

Class 5 - Heart Chakra

For this immersion, we dive into the energetics of the Heart center and Lungs using mudra, visualization and more.

Class 6 - Throat Chakra

In this section of our course, we investigate the subtle body as it relates to our neck and jaw, immunity, and voice. We release and recover through chanting, movement, and breathwork.

Class 7 - Cranial Chakras

In our final class, we cover the subtle structures of the skull, eyes and face. We use meditation and visualization along with our movement practice to fine tune our awareness of these centers.

Jennifer Raye holds a doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a licensed practitioner, acupuncturist, and herbalist. She is a long-time yoga and meditation teacher, holistic nutritionist, and published author specializing in somatic and therapeutic movement.

With nearly two decades of experience in integrative medicine, yoga, and mindfulness, Jennifer has worked with thousands of students and patients all over the world through her classes, retreats, teacher training and private medical practice. Her offerings are a rich synthesis of in-depth and long-term studies of anatomy, bodywork, therapeutic movement, Buddhist contemplative practices, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda.
