In this series of classes, we explore a variety of embodiment practices focused on nourishing and supporting the three treasures (Jing, Qi, Shen). These treasures are revered in Taoist philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine for maintaining longevity and health.

During our practice and study, you’ll learn more about supporting these vital substances’ functions through yoga postures (yin yoga, restorative yoga, and active yoga), therapeutic somatic movements, meditation, acupressure, and breath work.

This immersion is open to all levels and can be used for continuing education credit with organizations like the Yoga Alliance.

This Series Includes:

Class 1
Protect Jing

In Taoism and TCM, the jing is considered a very powerful and precious substance—it is our deepest life force. In this class, we restore the essence (jing) in the body with yoga postures, soft somatic movements, and meditation.

Class 2
Build Qi

Qi is a very active force in the body, and it has many different expressions (e.g., organ, defensive, nutritive, meridian, ancestral). In this class, we build Qi in the body with yoga postures, breathwork, and acupressure.

Class 3
Cultivate Shen

The Shen is our emotional-psychological-spirit layer, determining how we connect with ourselves and others. This class cultivates our Heart-Mind (Shen) with yoga postures, meditation, inquiry practices, and breathwork.

Jennifer Raye

Jennifer Raye holds a doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a licensed practitioner, acupuncturist, and herbalist. She is a long-time yoga and meditation teacher, holistic nutritionist, and published author specializing in somatic and therapeutic movement.

With nearly two decades of experience in integrative medicine, yoga, and mindfulness, Jennifer has worked with thousands of students and patients all over the world through her classes, retreats, teacher training and private medical practice. Her offerings are a rich synthesis of in-depth and long-term studies of anatomy, bodywork, therapeutic movement, Buddhist contemplative practices, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda. Classes often blend self-care remedies and somatic movement with spiritual, philosophical, energetic, and anatomical teachings, encouraging depth, self-reflection, and holistic well-being.
