Earth-based wisdom traditions describe summer as a time of expansion, connection, and joy. During the season of the fire element, we can finally let go of our protective coverings and stand in the warmth of the light and sun. The fire season is also a wonderful time to balance heat and cold in our bodies and minds.

In this movement and meditation class celebrating the summer solstice, we practice yin yoga, gentle somatic movements on the floor and meditation focusing on the renewal and flow available in the summer.

This immersion is open to all levels.

Class is two hours and includes a talk and practice session.

Jennifer Raye holds a doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a licensed practitioner, acupuncturist, and herbalist. She is a long-time yoga and meditation teacher, holistic nutritionist, and published author specializing in somatic and therapeutic movement.

With nearly two decades of experience in integrative medicine, yoga, and mindfulness, Jennifer has worked with thousands of students and patients all over the world through her classes, retreats, teacher training and private medical practice. Her offerings are a rich synthesis of in-depth and long-term studies of anatomy, bodywork, therapeutic movement, Buddhist contemplative practices, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda. Classes often blend self-care remedies and somatic movement with spiritual, philosophical, energetic, and anatomical teachings, encouraging depth, self-reflection, and holistic well-being.
